SIPBOX (Structurally Insulated Panel Box) shelters provide new, sustainable alternatives for international disaster relief, mobile laboratory residences and military structures.

Available NOW for Mudloggers’ Work and Comfort in Oilfields.
These laboratory/homes on trailers are for geologists in gas and oilfields in remote locations. They are working homes that function as 5th wheels to be pulled by pickup trucks.
SIPBOXs can be shipped internationally by container ship, train, or truck, to provide immediate emergency shelter during disasters. These emergency shelters are sustainable, extremely energy efficient, stackable and compact.
They can be loaded at ground level around the load, shipped with bathroom and kitchen facilities pre-installed, and completely disassembled with hand tools.
A SIPBOX can also be shipped with complete parts for constructing larger, more permanent houses. Simple, standard foundation leveling piers enable quick set-up and take-down.
The SIPBOX is engineered and tested to ISO standards.
Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) are a composite building material consisting of an insulating layer of rigid polymer foam sandwiched between two layers of structural board. SIPs share the same structural properties as an I-beam or I-column. The rigid insulation core acts as a web, while the sheathing exhibits the same properties as the flanges on the beam or column. SIPs combine several components of conventional building, such as studs and joists, insulation, vapor barrier and air barrier. In a building they can be used for many different applications, such as exterior wall, roof, floor and foundation systems. In the SIPBOX container they replace the steel so that the container itself has all the properties of a structurally sound, well-insulated home. Because the container is constructed of wood and foam it can be manipulated at its destination with simple tools and local craftsmen.
